Olivia Newton-John At West Chester University Olivia Newton-John

On March 26 and 27, 2010, friends from all corners of the world will gather on the campus of West Chester University for a unique two-day event with world-renowned entertainer, philanthropist, advocate for health and the environment, and ACEER Foundation Board Member-Olivia Newton-John. Olivia: Voices for Healing...Our Planet...Ourselves will offer conversation, reflection, and song to benefit the ACEER Foundation (Amazon Center for Environmental Education and Research), the College of Health Sciences, and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal.

The event begins Friday evening, March 26 with the keynote address of the college's 11th Integrative Health Conference: Integrative Strategies for Breast Cancer. Olivia, a breast cancer thriver herself, will co-present with Dr. Jonathan Cebon, director of Oncology, Austin Health, Melbourne, Australia. On Saturday, March 27, Olivia will join a notable assembly of cancer experts for sessions on integrative approaches to cancer prevention and treatment. A gala dinner with Olivia and her husband, John Easterling, will follow that evening culminating with Olivia performing a celebratory concert at the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall.

The proceeds of this two-day event will further the environmental conservation mission of the ACEER Foundation, an organization that has touched the lives of over one million individuals worldwide; advance the educational and research mission of the College of Health Science's program in integrative health; and help build the first integrative cancer treatment and wellness center in Australia. These organizations have partnered for this special event because there is an inextricable link between human health and the health of the planet, and all three organizations are committed to these causes, each bringing a unique set of perspectives and skills to the issues.

We cordially extend an invitation to an unprecedented weekend of discussion and song that will be remembered as a pivotal moment for the three sponsoring organizations, for our planet, and for ourselves.

With gratitude,
